Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), also known as gestational hypertension, is high blood pressure that develops after 20 weeks of pregnancy in women who previously had normal blood pressure. PIH is part of a spectrum of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, which includes preeclampsia and eclampsia.
