Invite child to read the word.
Say each sound and blend the sounds together.
Circle the correct picture.
Talk about the other pictures and ask if they have the same beginning/ending blends with the word on top,
E.g. For the CCVC word drum, ask "do the drill and dress have the same beginning blend as drum?"
Encourage child to trace the word.
Repeat for the other CCVC & CVCC words.
