FSL Alphabet & Fingerspell Flashcard
Product by
aseberosmarAbout this product
The Filipino Sign Language (FSL) alphabet is a special way to show each letter of the alphabet using your hands and fingers. It's called fingerspelling, and it helps people spell out names, places, or words that don’t have a sign yet. This is very helpful in conversations, especially for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
FSL uses one hand to form all 26 letters of the alphabet. Each letter has its shape, made by moving your fingers in a certain way. For example, to sign the letter “A,” you make a closed fist with your thumb on the side. To sign “B,” you open your hand flat with your fingers together and thumb across your palm.
- Teaching the ABCs in FSL to children in classrooms or at home.
- Supporting inclusive education and awareness of the Deaf community in the Philippines.
- Providing a visual aid for Deaf and hearing learner alike.
