What is a plantable pencil?

It's your typical pencil but instead of a small eraser at the end, it has a gelatin capsule containing seeds.

How do I use it?

Use it the same way you would use a regular pencil except when it's too short to write with it, you make a new life out of it! Plant it!

a. Put a good potting soil in your pot with a drainage hole at the bottom. (TIP!!! Use a recyclable container if you don't have a pot at home).

b. Water your soil to moisten it. Be careful not to over water it as the soil becomes soggy.

c. Thrust your pencil into the soil (with the yellow part facing the soil) at 30 to 45 degree angle. It should not be too deep and the soil should only cover the entire capsule.

d. Keep your plant in a place with natural light (avoid direct sunlight) and water your soil everyday. Your plant will appear in 1-4 weeks depending on the germination period of your seed! Yay!

Is this pencil safe especially for kids? What if my child accidentally swallows the seed capsule?

Yas, it's super safe! Ingesting the seeds and the gelatin capsule is harmless. The capsule used is 100% preservative-free, non-GMO, allergen-free and gluten-free.
