The New7Wonders were chosen through a global poll conducted by the New7Wonders Foundation, which invited people from around the world to vote for their favorite sites. The winners were announced in 2007. Here are the New7Wonders of the World:

Great Wall of China (China): This iconic structure is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, built along the northern borders of China to protect against invasions from various nomadic groups.

Petra (Jordan): Petra is an archaeological city famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system. It was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Christ the Redeemer (Brazil): This colossal statue of Jesus Christ is located atop Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of Brazil and a major tourist attraction.

Machu Picchu (Peru): Machu Picchu is an ancient Incan citadel located in the Andes Mountains of Peru. It is renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone construction and panoramic views.

Chichen Itza (Mexico): Chichen Itza is a large pre-Columbian archaeological site located in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It was a major focal point in the Northern Maya Lowlands and exhibits a diverse range of architectural styles.

Roman Colosseum (Italy): The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is an ancient amphitheater located in the center of Rome, Italy. It is the largest amphitheater ever built and is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering.

Taj Mahal (India): The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum located in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and is regarded as a masterpiece of Mughal architecture.

These seven sites were chosen as the New7Wonders of the World based on their cultural significance, historical importance, and architectural brilliance, as voted by millions of people around the world.
